Coffee Origin Trips organises trips to coffee growing countries for coffee professionals to meet farmers, learn about coffee agriculture and processing, enjoy local culture, make new friends and colleagues, and even source new coffee. We promise you a life enhancing experience!

We aim to be the World’s leading Coffee trip organiser, and by bringing together coffee professionals from different countries and sectors with coffee professionals in producing countries we will foster education, knowledge, sharing, friendship, networking and business opportunities.

We are pleased to announce our first trips since lockdown, to the fantastic coffee growing
country of Costa Rica, where we will once again be working with our friends from Speciality
Coffee Association of Costa Rica who have helped organise many trips for us in the past.
As this is our first step back since Covid we are aiming high by promoting two consecutive
but separate trips and will see they both are packed with content.
We are offering a great opportunity for you to learn how your coffee gets its individuality of
flavour. You will see various methods of preparation, sun drying, anaerobic fermentation
and natural process. There will be some coffee picking and of course some cupping.
We will take a day off enjoying the famous La Paz waterfalls in the Central Valley
The trips will last a week based in San Jose, one commencing 15 th February 2023 and the
second commencing 22 nd February 2023.We meet at the hotel on 14 th or 21 st February
respectfully ready to leave early the next morning.
The cost will be 2800 Euros, £2450.00 which includes costs for the hotel, all travel within the
week and lunch each day and some evening meals.
Costa Rica is a well developed coffee country, the people are friendly and the coffee is
fantastic. We will visit farms and mills in Tarrazu and the Central and West valleys, as well as
learning about research and agronomy at ICAFE and cupping with one of Costa Rica’s main
exporters.
These are going to be a fantastic, action packed trips where we will experience some great
coffee and meet some lovely people in a beautiful country. Not to be missed!!

Trips

All of our trips include visiting large estates, cooperatives and smallholders, as well as seeing wet and dry milling, and also researchers, exporters ethical agencies and other key people in the coffee industry.

Taste

You will get to visit famous coffee growing areas as well as those not so well known. You will taste Bourbons, Caturras, Geishas, Catuais and experience fully washed, natural and honey processing.

Travel

You just need to make your way to the rendezvous point at origin, and we, in conjunction with our local host, will look after you for the entire trip, including food, accommodation, in country travel and some cultural sightseeing. And fun!
